I am a fairly organized person, if not organized, at least I rarely forget things!! I have been forgetting EVERYTHING!!! honestly, I am not sure where my brain is. Okay, I am prety sure I know where it is. . . is it normal to have complete brain failure when planning a wedding?!?! Last semester I forgot to do an assignment, made me miss my A by 1 point, yesterday I forgot to check my patients arm band when I first walked in the room, hence almost giving the wrong patient medication (LUCKILY the family was so nice and just laughed it off, I felt like a complete IDIOT and almost quit then and there, and luckily I caught the mistake before I actually went to give the meds, the stories were just not lining up).
On to my most recent lack of a brain episode. . . I left my license and credit cards in my nursing school uniform last night so when I got to the register at the Target I had nothing to pay with!! I had ordered a pretzel, she had already made it, she gave it to me anyways. I realized in the car that i could have paid by check, I have never done that before, but i didn't think of it. So the miracle of today?!?! On my way back to work from the Target, while talking to my mom about how I left my credit cards at home, she asked "how are you going to buy food?", I responded with an "i'll manage". Just as I said that I saw a car pull up next to me. Somewhere in my brain I said "it's dad". I looked left and who was in the car next to me?!?! MY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honked, rolled down the window and asked for a credit card ( I am currently on empty, hence the desperate need for some form of money), he met in the next parking lot and he handed it over.
Honestly, it was the strangest thing, I have never seen my dad randomly on the street, ever. A nice reminder that the Lord really is aware of us and our needs even when we might not deserve it.
Here is to remembering everything from now on!!!
