Day 4 - County Cork

Cork

We drove out to Cork on Sunday knowing full well that most things would probably be closed and we were right. There were many many stores that I wished to enter and spend some money, maybe I was lucky that we went on Sunday. A few of the things we did see in Cork

Mutton Lane Mural

St. Finbarre's Cathedral

(taken from a moving vehicle thank you very much!!!!)

Cool Colorful Houses

Blarney Castle

So we drove out to Blarney Castle, hoping that we could see it without paying to go to it but alas, no luck. So we went shopping at Erin's Store and called it a day.

Cobh

Cobh is really neat. It was the final port of call for the Titanic before it sank, it was the port where the first person who entered the United States through Ellis Island left from, Annie Moore was only 15!!! We went through a museum that explained all about Cobh as well as illustrated the type of living conditions that were present in a lot of the ships that came to America and Australia, it was very humbling.

Some pictures from Cobh

We really like road sheep. Jordan bought these for us.

Love the pics of Ireland, especially the Erin bookstore. So sorry I forgot Frankenstein at church. I'll have to remember for next week. Thanks again for driving us and for the toll roads on the way to the air and space museum
