Girls Camp - August 10th-14th

GIRLS CAMP!!!! I had the chance to go to Girls Camp this year, working with the 1st years. It was an absolutely fabulous experience!!!!!! Honestly, I want to go back, every year. When Susan Bevan (a friend from my girls camp experience) found out that I was going to Sinequipe she jumped at the opportunity to come!! So, she drove out, from Utah and worked with the 3rd years, she did a phenomenal job, could not have done it without her.

We had so many amazing experiences this week.

• Testimony meeting with just the YCL's and leaders
• Hike - the girls were not thrilled but they survived
• Stargazing on the dock
• Service project with the YCL's and 4th Years - Susan & I pretty much had to beg to get it on the manual labor service project and the girls rocked it, did 4 times what they were expecting
• "making rain" one night, apparently they haven't done it for years, the girls absolutely loved it
• Reading a letter Susan wrote for her girls to read. It was a letter from their unborn children, an opportunity to teach them that the choices they make here on this earth are known to others, and they do have an impact on the future
