Last night 14 of us piled into cars and headed up to Draper for the Draper Temple Open House. Before temples are dedicated in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they are open to the public for tours. This open house was different then the others that I have attended, there were no booties, no groups, no tour guides, no one checking reservations, 4 chapels all showing videos and busing people to the temple. I haven't been to an open house since the Raleigh, North Carolina one when I was in young womens so it was interesting to see how it was done now.
I am so grateful for the temple!!!

The temple looks beautiful - I'm glad you got to go. I think I went with you to the open house in North Carolina - I remember thinking how tiny it was compared to all the Utah and the Washington temples. I miss you, Lolo.
All open houses are memorable. The one I remember most is Nauvoo--maybe because your 4th great grandfather helped to build the original. The old homestead has been mighty quiet of late. Looking forward to your return, Lou.
