What a weekend!!! Elisa, Leni, Mandi, and I headed south for my last weekend in Utah. We took off on Friday, scheduled departure 5:30, actual departure 6:30.
Stopped at Panda Express, grabbed some delectableness, got on the road in Mandi's new silver Corolla S and started the journey. We stopped for some fun in Fillmore and Meadow where I went in hot springs for the first time!!!!!! We got to Elisa's parents in St. George at about 1am and we all crashed!!! The original plan was to wake up early on Saturday and to go hike in zions all day, but early for us came at about 10am so we nixed that plan and moved on. We had breakfast with her family and then decided to go swimming with her little brother Matthew who has down syndrome and he
r two sisters. We didn't want to pay to get into a pool so we borrowed our friend Adam's condo pool where we stayed when we went to St. George in February. We came back and hung around the house until about 5pm when we headed down to Vegas. We got to Sarah's around 7pm and Ava was not very excited to see us. Every time she looked at Leni, Elisa, or Mandi she started crying. She could handle looking at me at least but she wasn't happy about it. After checking out Sarah and Bryce's new place we headed to Golden Spoon for some amazing yogurt!
From there we went to the strip and watch the fountain show at the Bellagio then to In n' Out for some awesome food! We got back to Sarah's around midnight and all crashed. We woke up early sunday morning, and went to the 9am sacrament meeting in Sarah's building. We got a lot of stares as we walked out after the sacrament but hey, at least we were there right =) After changing our clothes we loaded up the car and headed for zions!!! I hadn't been to zions since we moved
to Maryland the first time so I was really excited to go hiking. We picked a hike that was very shaded so we didn't get too much sun but we sure had a good time! We hiked for a few hours, took many pictures, and got back in the car for the rest of the journey back. By the time we hit Springville we had all just about lost it and were extremely ready to be out of the car but we made memories that will last a lifetime. It was such a fun trip with girls that I will love forever!
