Sell me some debt!

So today, as I was driving home from Jordan's mission office, I was listening to the radio when a commercial came on about loans. In the 1 minute commercial the man tried to convince every person who would never qualify for a loan because their credit is so bad to apply for his loan because they will turn no one away, they are accepting every application. It makes me sad that we are encouraged to go into debt to make ourselves slaves to other people. I was really frustrated as I was listening but after it was over was so grateful that I was taught that debt is not what the world makes it out to be, that it truly ties you down.
