True blue thru and thru

I was not sure what the phrase "true blue thru and thru" meant until today. The first BYU football home game started today at 2pm. It was hot, it was really hot and I was not happy that I had chosen to wear jeans and tennis shoes. We got to the game and it was still hot. For about the first half hour it was REALLY hot. Then the clouds starting moving in. It had been about an hour and a half by now and it started to look threatening. I wasn't worried, I was having the time of my life! About half an hour later we started teasing Nikki that she kept spitting on us, but no, it was rain. It started to rain. It started to rain and then it just kept on raining. We were up by about 35 at this point in the game so the game itself was not all that exciting but just being there in the stadium with so many people was. So with 6 minutes remaining and the stands emptying quickly the game was postponed due to lightening. Did I leave the stadium? No, I am ridiculous! Me, my roomate Nikki, and 6 guys from our ward made our way down to the second row where we continued to sing and dance like I only thought Corinne knew how. It was amazing! We were down there with lightening and thunder all around us for about 45 minutes. We probably should have left the stadium but good songs kept coming on and we really just did not wan to leave. Finally the team came back on the field and they finished the game. Because we were so close we were albe to give the whole team high fives after the game, cool huh? Anyways, it was really cold, I was really wet, but I am a true cougar! I do not give up when the going gets tough. I am true fan!
