i love the outside

The past week has been one of reflection on the earth that God created for us. On Wednesday night Lisa and I were laying outside at about 11pm and we both fell asleep. When we woke up at about midnight we decided that we would sleep outside that night. So, we ran inside gathered up as many blankets as we could and ventured to find a comfortable, flat, safe place to rest our heads. can someone people tell me why we picked a place where I slept on ROOTS the ENTIRE night?!?! It was ridiculous, I was up the entire night pretty much but it was amazing. It was close to a full moon and I could see the moon right between the trees. I really have been amazed lately by the beauty of our earth.
Then, last night, Brandon & I went to grab Wendy's at around midnight and he felt like being adventurous. He wanted to go onto campus and play in a fountain (there is no sign saying that it it isn't allowed) at the new Joseph F Smith building, but when we got there there were people and we didn't feel like being rude, so we left and went to Heritage Halls where they have made a creek with little ponds. Needless to say we got in. It was really cold but not nearly as cold as what I experienced today!!! We walked home from Heritage at that point and didn't get home until very late but it was so enjoyable, I really do appreciate being spontaneous, I have learned to be okay with it.
My appreciation of nature continued today when our ward had our summer closing social, hiking stewart falls. We met at 8am and headed up provo canyon, we got up there about 9 and got started. The hike up was not bad, I was in the VERY back which was kind of lame but I got to talk to my bishop a lot which was awesome. I wish I had taken more, I mean ANY, pictures on the way up or down but I did take them at the falls. Something you need to know about me and about my bishop is that 1. I have been adventuresome this summer 2. my bishop LOVES to get people wet. So, after being at the falls for about 3 minutes I batted my eyelashes at Lisa and asked her to join me walking THROUGH the falls, not just in the water in front of them but actually UNDER the water. She agreed and WE WENT! Let me just say we started a revolution! As you can see, everyone ended up in the water, it was AMAZING!

After the hike we had planned another adventure down to Burraston ponds. There were 11 of us that went and it was CRAZY! I love being outisde!!!
